Jeremy started volunteering with The Salvation Army Pasadena Tabernacle in 2022 when he helped organize the Cars for a Cause fundraising event. The more he learned about the positive impact The Salvation Army was making in his community, the more he wanted to be involved. When he heard about our Angel Tree program, which provides Christmas presents for children, he immediately volunteered.
Jeremy told us, “Normally, people just see the first step when they give a toy to an organization, but to go further and actually help The Salvation Army distribute the toys was a different perspective. The happiness you bring those individuals is indescribable.”
Kindness in action
Jeremy saw how something as small as a new set of pajamas or a toy car made a big difference to families and brought so much joy to children. He loved seeing the smiles on people’s faces. He shared why he volunteers, “You have to be the change you want to see.”
